 Mayor General FAP Armando Revoredo Iglesis Airport CJA/SPJR, serves Peru’s city of Cajamarca the capital of the Cajamarca District as well as the Cajamarca Province of Peru located in the northern highlands of Peru bordering Ecuador. Mayor General FAP Armando Revoredo Iglesis Airport is a short 2 ½ miles from the city center. A public airport, Mayor General FAP Armando Revoredo Iglesis Airport  today is run by CORPAC S.A., Corporacion Peruana de Aeropuertos y Aviacion Cmercial S.A.

 Mayor General FAP Armando Revoredo Iglesis Airport With 1 runway,16/34 at 8,202 feet the airport cable of handling aircraft up to the size of a Boeing 737. Sitting at a altitude of 8,781 feet it has a ranking of # 11 on the World’s Highest Commercial Airports list and # 8 on the South America’s Highest Commercial Airports list and is the fifth highest commercial airport in Peru.

Many tourist come to the area for it is believed that the Inca Empire came to an end in Cajamarca. Conjunto Monumental de Belen, a site of archaeological exhibits dating back to 1500 B.C. The complex is constructed out of volcanic stone is a major draw and other major attractions are Iglesia San Francisco and Iglesia Matriz Santa Catalina.

 
 The airport is only served by 3 airlines, LAN Peru, LC Busre and Star Up SA with domestic service to Lima Peru’s Jorge Chavez International Airport and other destinations through out Peru. The tarmac has parking spots for only 3 aircraft at a time and handles around 10 aircraft on a daily basis.
Housed in a 2 story terminal, Mayor General FAP Armando Revoredo Iglesis Airport provides very limited facilities for the traveling public with the terminal being open from 6am to 6pm daily .
